Honeoye Falls is
situated on the upper falls of Honeoye Creek approximately
15 miles Southeast of Rochester, New York on Route 65 (Clover
Street).
The village was
founded in 1791 by Zebulon Norton of Connecticut. In the late
1700's and early 1800's the village, known then as Norton's
Mills, grew with factories and mills along the banks of the
creek. A bridge had also been built to connect both sides
of the village making it larger. In 1838 the village became
incorporated and then became known as Honeoye Falls.
Today the population
of Honeoye Falls is about 2,600 with an excellent school system
