Honeoye Lake is
located in the western portion of the Finger Lakes between
Canadice and Canandaigua Lakes. Just southwest of the City
of Canandaigua and about 35 miles from Rochester.
The lake is about
4.5 miles long and is 30 feet at its deepest part. The lake
is very active with homes surrounding it. The fishing is great
with large sunfish and perch. Boating activity is also a great
summer past time.
There are two towns
that surround the lake and they are Canadice and Richmond,
both of which are in Ontario County. This lake also flows
north and forms the Honeoye Creek. At the north end of the
lake is the village of Honeoye.
